Microsoft access 2016 accdb odbc driver free

Pretty Obvious to a retired systems manager that there is a 32bit and a 64bit version, I am testing legacy databases ready for Win 10 and Office that use ODBC connectors, so firstly the directory that you mention does not exist on a win 10 pro 32bit install and I on a 64bit install yes the ODBC 32 and 64bit options are available but again neither of them allow ACCDB connection only the older MDB Maybe someone could provide an answer that has some idea of what there talking about, a microsoft professional please, not a home user that thinks he’s the dogs Clean Install of Win 10 Pro Ver.
Latest on insider preview 32Bit. I have tried installing Office but the Connectors do not appear. I have tried installing Office again the connectors do not appear. Data transfer for non Office programs is not available. There are two ODBC applets: one for bit and one for bit.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. I don’t know how you were brought up, but what a way to talk to people trying to help you on their own unpaid time! And you expect others to continue to answer you, only to get insulted! Because Access database engine runs in-process, you must use the same bitness the external application runs in.
If it’s a bit application, then you must use bit driver. Likewise, if this application is bit, then you must use bit driver. The bitness of Windows is irrelevant in this context. With Office, however, you cannot mix bit installation and bit installation and that goes for Access database engine, which is a part of the Office installation. As Tom noted earlier, on a bit Windows, you do have two odbcad32 applet and you must open one that is the appropriate bitness. You will likely find that because you’ve already installed Office, you will be able to see the Access ODBC drivers in bit odbcad By default Office installs bit and one has to explicitly go out of their way to install bit version of Office.
If your external application is bit and the Office installed is bit, then you have a problem because as said at the beginning, the drivers and the application has to be same bitness to be usable. So from the control panel you are launching by default the x64 bit version of the ODBC manager. You can thus type the above into a cmd session you start, or right into the search programs box when you hit the windows key at least on win 7.
