Disabling the path length limit means we can use more than characters in a file path. Create a short Python script that uses a for loop to print a message to the Python shell ten times.

The command presents a list of available interpreters that VS Code can find automatically, including virtual environments. Python will return your statement “Hello World”. If you plan to collaborate with others on your Python code, or host your project on an open-source site like GitHub , VS Code supports version control with Git.

You first need to install Git to power the Source Control panel. Download and install Git for Windows from the git-scm website. An Install Wizard is included that will ask you a series of questions about settings for your Git installation. You will see that the root directory of Python and the scripts directory of Python have already been added in the installation process, as we checked the box to do these during the installation.
