Word Crashes, Freezes, Locks Up, When user SAVE AS.
I work on a new laptop with Windows 8. I’m not new to Windows, but I am doing a trial before rolling out a big scale purchase of PC’s for a college. Microsoft appears to work fine, I can open the programs, open documents and work on documents. However, as soon as I try to save changes the programs crash and this also causes the PC to crash completely. I have read many articles about this and it doesn’t appear to be a problem on my side.
I have tried to quick fix office and reinstall etc. What is left to try? Please help as I am becomming somewhat irritated with this and in my opinion this is not how paid software should run. A lot of problems with Office are caused by third party non-Microsoft applications. If it is checked then uncheck it and then uncheck the option of Run as Administrator if its checked.
