But there’s one thing none of them mentioned: The delta-sigma DSD filter type the one with letters and order eg. A 5th order. Does it do anything drastic with sound quality? What does it do? Right now I set it at B 5th order. Is best to just turn it off?
I set it to “preserve album dynamics” but then my songs became a bit more quiet with no improvement. I also heard it degrades the sound. It still does loud enough on DSD on non-classical music, but with classical, it gets a bit more quiet and I sometimes had to put my DAC on max gain and volume for the quiet parts and it becomes harder to separate the instruments.
This problem mostly got fixed by turning off replaygain like I said in question 2. Offtopic: How did this website get so cluttered in recent years? I remember being able to come to the questions and discussions from just the tabs. Now it’s just products and I came here from clicking on the forum link from posts using random searches.

Upsamling to dsd on windows 10 – USB DAC – Audirvana
Yesterday I downloaded Audirvana free trial for windows The only working setting om ny pc is DSD The same problem is present on pc with Chord TT2. Please advice before i will buy your product. Note: By clicking on the Debug Info Audirvana button automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message. Although it does not surprise me with musical fidelity, he told me the same thing, the truth is that audirvana is a real disaster, so I hardly use it anymore.
Yes, but a payment program should be well planned, not like this one, which in sonid is not bad but in everything else it fails. Everything that happens from mac to windows has many failures, but the reason why it ties other than in sound but what…. Take it for what it is. Report issues and hope the one you care about matters to few more people. You have always the option to switch to a competing product. I do not want resampling I want you to read dsd and be able to see the capabilities of the dac that are added like other programs such as hqplayer or jriver.
I can understand the annoyance when the device is not properly identified. You can always override this. It will not stop you from playing DSD. DoP is just a transport protocol. The stream remains pure DSD. That is what you say because you have no other solution to all your failures, but you know that it is not so. This has absolutely no effect on sound quality and the transfer is bit-perfect. This is indeed first world audio problem. Why bother with Audirvana then?
Foobar is free as in beer. Why would resampling to DSD do any good whatsoever?

For offline conversion (saving the music to HD) I use Korg AudioGate (free) with the following settings, but AIFF instead of WAV for Mac users. Hi.
