Sync settings windows 10 mail free download
I have 7 mail accounts defined, including Outlook which I do not use, but I believe this account has to be there. If I specify sync at 15 minute intervals nothing shows up in the app. It only syncs manually – I have to click the sync icon and then it will sync. On the phone the sync works fine. What I would prefer is to be able to select for the mail on two specified accounts to sync as soon as it’s on the server. I understand that download ‘as mail arrives’ can only be specified on a limited number 2?
I assume this is to prevent overload from too much concurrent syncing? All the other accounts should download after the specified interval. Only the Outlook account and one of the Gmail accounts currently show ‘as mail arrives’ as an option. I have tried removing ‘as mail arrives’ from the Gmail account and assigning it to my main account but each time it just reverts to the way it was.
Is this meant to controllable by the user? Or is it necessary to have admin login to change these settings? To summarise: I can’t configure download ‘as mail arrives’ on desired accounts. When a time interval is selected no download happens until the sync button is pressed. I’m very unclear how this is meant to work and hope someone can clarify or suggest a way to do this. I don’t recall having this issue with the 8.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. The problem of having to sync manually has gone away.
I’m syncing at 15 minute interval and that is working OK. I think I may have misunderstood the operation of the ‘based on usage’ setting. It looks as though this is intended to let the app decide the sync frequency – with no way to select immediate delivery.
